What it means to be local.

Jeff Lennox Builders are truly local. Jeff grew up in Bundaberg and completed his schooling and carpentry apprenticeship here. Jeff is third generation Australian, his great-grandparents travelled out by ship from the United Kingdom over a century ago. His families have lived and worked in various local businesses ever since. He has over 30 years of local building experience and is fully committed to providing high quality housing and construction for the community's needs. Jeff's employees are local contractors who also have families growing up in Bundaberg. Many of his staff and subcontractors have been with the company for over 20 years. They form a valued part of the company's DNA. Through his sons' involvement in the building team, Jeff Lennox Builders are showing their ongoing commitment to the Bundaberg region. Sam is the company estimator and Workplace Health and Safety Officer and Tom is completing his carpentry apprenticeship. Jeff's wife Liz also keeps it in the family with artistic input for interior design and colour schemes as well as providing editorial support.

Over the past 20 years, Jeff has seen numerous carpentry apprentices complete their training with the company. Some have continued on as subcontractors, others leaving to set up their own local building businesses. He is currently training 4 apprentices. Jeff is president of the Wide Bay branch of Construction Skills Queensland, which is the industry representative body involved in training apprentices. He is fully committed to providing employment opportunities as a way of ensuring the long term sustainability and viability of the building industry.

Jeff Lennox Builders continue to show their interest in the local Bundaberg community by sponsoring local sporting teams, (Arrows Hockey) and other charity events such as the Make Poverty History concerts. He has taken an active role as a member of the steering committee involved in the setting up and administration of the Bundaberg Youth Learning Centre. (A local learning centre for disengaged youth) The company makes regular financial contributions to several humanitarian organizations including local School Chaplaincy, Aids Hope (South Africa) and Youth Ministries.

"Quality always speaks for itself" is Jeff's motto and forms part of his personal guarantee of a job well done. In his building career, Jeff and his team have won numerous state Queensland Master Builders' Awards for building excellence. Twice the company has been awarded the prestigious "Pride in the Job" - Workmanship awards. These awards were received for complex architectural builds - both residential and commercial. Jeff expects that all his building work should be executed to the highest standard and with attention to the finest detail, the first time. This is accomplished through the leadership of competent and reliable client managers, office staff and supervisors - as well as using reputable and experienced local subcontractors and suppliers.

All facets of upcoming projects are carefully planned to achieve the optimum result. The progress of the work is carefully monitored throughout and the final product is thoroughly inspected by Jeff and his team to ensure the highest quality. In addition, all employees undergo periodic training to keep up to date with all the latest techniques, products and quality requirements.

Jeff believes that good communication is fundamental to the achievement of a high quality building project. In order to achieve this, Jeff and his staff go out of their way to ensure absolute transparency throughout the whole process, clarifying inclusions and making sure there are no hidden extras. Throughout the build, they seek to liaise with their clients - keeping them regularly informed of its progress and ensuring complete satisfaction with the finished product.

Jeff Lennox Builders have a large portfolio of building works - from project and contract homes, to architecturally designed residences and industrial and commercial projects. Each year the residential division of the company builts an average of 30 homes. In addition, they have recently completed multiple commercial builds including the Bundaberg Rum Visitor and Administration Centre, the Early Learning Centre at St Johns Lutheran Primary School, the Hinkler Hall of Aviation and Cafe 1928. Jeff and his team can build to all requirements and to all budgets, satisfying the most fastidious client.
